Getting Started
What does Go Krafted do?
Go Krafted sources and curates packaging solutions for skincare and personal-care professionals.
We offer containers and components including bottles, jars, tubes, pumps, droppers, caps, lids, closures, boxes, and other packaging options.
We also help customers explore printing, decoration, private-label, and white-label packaging solutions depending on the project.
Our approach is different from simply shopping a packaging catalog. We bring more than 20 years of hands-on skincare and personal-care experience to help you make informed packaging decisions.
Who is Go Krafted for?
We work with a variety of skincare and personal-care professionals, including:
- Skincare brands
- Emerging product makers
- Established beauty brands
- Spas
- Estheticians
- Wellness businesses
- Personal-care brands
- Private-label houses
- Contract manufacturers
- Professionals developing new product lines
If you're creating or sourcing packaging for a skincare or personal-care product, we're happy to help you explore your options.
I'm new to packaging. Where do I start?
You don't need to know all the packaging terminology before contacting us. Start by telling us:
- What product you're making
- How much product you want to package
- Approximately how many units you need
- When you need the packaging
- What kind of look you're going for
If you already have packaging specifications, send those too.
Choosing Packaging
How do I know which container is right for my product?
Start with the formula.
The product's consistency, ingredients, dispensing requirements, intended use, size, and customer experience can all influence the appropriate packaging. For example, a serum may require a different dispensing system than a body lotion or spa backbar product.
We can help you narrow down your options, but final product-to-package compatibility should be evaluated with your actual formula and final packaging configuration.
What types of packaging do you offer?
Our selection may include:
- Bottles
- Jars
- Tubes
- Airless packaging
- Pumps
- Droppers
- Sprayers
- Caps
- Lids
- Closures
- Boxes and cartons
- Labels
- Other packaging components
Available products and specifications vary, so browse our current collections or contact us for help finding something specific.
Do you offer packaging in different sizes?
Yes. Packaging is available in a range of capacities and dimensions depending on the product. Common skincare and personal-care sizes include:
- 0.5 oz / approximately 15 mL
- 1 oz / approximately 30 mL
- 2 oz / approximately 60 mL
- 4 oz / approximately 120 mL
- 8 oz / approximately 240 mL
- 16 oz / approximately 480 mL
Always confirm the manufacturer's specifications before ordering, as actual fill requirements can vary.
What is a neck finish?
A neck finish identifies the opening of a container and helps determine which closure will fit. You may see specifications such as:
- 20/410
- 20/415
- 24/410
- 28/410
- 33/400
The container and closure need compatible specifications.
I don't know my neck finish. Can you help?
Yes. If you already have a container but don't know the neck finish, send us the manufacturer's specifications or a clear photo of the container.
We'll help you determine what information you'll need to identify the appropriate closure.
Can I buy bottles and closures separately?
Depending on the product, yes. This can be useful if you're looking for a specific combination of container and closure.
The important thing is to make sure the components have compatible specifications, particularly the neck finish.
Samples & Compatibility
Can I get samples before placing a larger order?
Sample availability depends on the specific product and supplier.
If you're considering a packaging component for a new product, we recommend requesting and testing samples whenever possible before committing to a larger production quantity.
Do you test my formula with the packaging?
Go Krafted can help you identify packaging options, but final formula-to-package compatibility should be evaluated with your actual formula and final packaging configuration by the appropriate product development or manufacturing professionals.
Compatibility testing may consider:
- Formula interaction
- Leakage
- Discoloration
- Odor
- Container integrity
- Closure performance
- Dispensing
- Product stability
Can I send you a photo of packaging I like?
Absolutely. A photo can be a great starting point.
You can send us an image of packaging you like, an existing package you're trying to replace, or even a general style you're trying to achieve. We'll use that information to help identify possible directions.
Printing & Decoration
Do you offer printing?
Printing and decoration options depend on the packaging and project. Options may include:
- Labels
- Screen printing
- Digital printing
- Foil
- Hot stamping
- Other specialty finishes
We'll help you determine which options may be appropriate for your packaging.
Can you help with labels?
Depending on the project, we can help you explore label and printing options.
Your label artwork and regulatory/product information should be finalized and approved before production.
Can you print directly on my bottles or jars?
Some packaging may be suitable for direct printing such as screen or digital printing.
Availability depends on the container material, shape, size, artwork, quantity, and production requirements. Contact us with your packaging and project details so we can determine what options may be available.
Do you offer custom colors or custom packaging?
Custom options may be available depending on the product, manufacturer, quantity, and project requirements.
Custom projects generally require additional planning and may have higher minimum quantities and longer lead times. Contact us before planning around a custom specification so we can help determine what is realistic for your project.
Private Label & White Label
What is white label?
White label generally refers to an existing product or formula that is offered under your own brand.
You may be able to select from an existing product range and customize elements such as branding, packaging, or available options. The exact program varies by manufacturer.
What is private label?
Private label generally involves creating a product for your brand with more customization than a standard white-label arrangement.
Depending on the manufacturer, this may involve choices around formula, ingredients, fragrance, packaging, or other product characteristics. Every manufacturer defines its private-label program differently, so it's important to understand exactly what is included.
Does Go Krafted manufacture private-label products?
Private- and white-label opportunities depend on the project and the manufacturing partners involved.
Contact us with your product concept, quantities, timeline, and packaging needs so we can determine what options may be available.
Can a spa create its own product line?
Yes. A spa may develop branded products for retail, treatment use, amenities, backbar, or take-home care.
Go Krafted can help you explore packaging options and, depending on the project, private- and white-label solutions.
Can you help me create a product from concept to launch?
We can help you navigate the packaging side of the journey and connect the various pieces of a project.
Our experience includes developing skincare products, building skincare brands, operating a spa, and creating a lifestyle brand. Depending on what you need, we can help you think through:
- Product format
- Packaging
- Closures
- Printing
- Decoration
- Boxes
- Private-label options
- White-label options
Ordering
What is a minimum order quantity (MOQ)?
MOQ stands for Minimum Order Quantity. It is the smallest quantity that can be purchased for a particular product or service. MOQ may apply to:
- Containers
- Closures
- Printing
- Labels
- Boxes
- Custom colors
- Custom components
MOQs vary by product and supplier.
What is a case pack?
A case pack is the number of individual units packed together in one case. For example, a product might be sold in cases of 100, 250, or 500 units.
Always check the product listing for the current case quantity.
Do you sell small quantities?
Available quantities depend on the specific product. Some products may be available in smaller quantities, while others may have higher minimums.
If you're launching a small initial run, let us know your desired quantity and we'll help you explore appropriate options.
How far in advance should I order?
That depends on the product, quantity, availability, printing, customization, and destination.
If you have a firm launch date, we recommend starting the packaging process as early as possible. Custom packaging and printed components generally require more planning than standard in-stock components.
Do you keep everything in stock?
Not necessarily. Some products may be stocked and ready to ship, while others may be sourced, made to order, or subject to supplier availability.
Current availability, lead times, and minimums should be confirmed for your specific order.
Can I request a quote?
Yes. For projects involving larger quantities, multiple components, printing, custom packaging, or private/white-label requirements, we recommend submitting a quote request.
Shipping
Do you ship?
Shipping availability and costs depend on the product, order size, destination, and shipping method. Shipping details will be provided as part of the ordering process or quote.
Can you ship directly to my manufacturer or fulfillment partner?
Depending on the project and shipping arrangement, direct shipping may be possible. Let us know where your packaging needs to go when requesting your quote.
Sustainability
Do you offer sustainable packaging options?
We offer packaging in a variety of materials and configurations. Depending on the product, options may include materials or features related to:
- Recycled content
- PCR content
- Recyclability
- Refillability
- Reusability
- Reduced packaging components
Sustainability should be evaluated as part of the complete packaging system rather than based on a single claim. If sustainability is a priority for your project, let us know and we can help you explore available options.
Product Information
Where can I find product specifications?
Product pages should include available specifications such as:
- Material
- Capacity
- Color
- Neck finish
- Closure
- Dimensions
- Case pack
- MOQ
- Lead time
If a specification isn't listed, contact us before ordering and we'll help determine what information is available.
What if I need a specific size or neck finish?
Use our packaging collections and filters to search by specifications when available. For example, if you're looking for a particular neck finish such as 20/410, start with that specification.
If you can't find what you're looking for, contact us. We may be able to help source an appropriate option.
I can't find the packaging I'm looking for. Can you source it?
Tell us what you're looking for.
If you have a product photo, manufacturer's name, specification, dimensions, or even an example of packaging you like, send it along. We'll determine whether we can help identify or source an option.
Working With Go Krafted
Why is Go Krafted different from a typical packaging supplier?
Because we've been on your side of the table.
Our experience comes from more than 20 years in skincare and personal care, including building two major skincare brands, operating a spa, and creating a lifestyle brand.
We understand what happens between concept and go-live. That experience shapes how we curate packaging and how we help customers navigate their choices.
Do I need to know exactly what I want before contacting you?
No. In fact, that's one of the reasons we're here. Tell us:
- What you're making
- Who it's for
- How much you need
- When you need it
- What you want it to look and feel like
We'll help you start narrowing down the possibilities.
Can you help me if I'm just starting my brand?
Absolutely. You don't need to have every packaging decision made before reaching out.
Start with your product concept and we'll help you understand the packaging considerations you'll need to think through.
Can you help established brands?
Yes. We work with businesses at different stages — from emerging brands to established skincare and personal-care companies.
If you're looking for a new packaging supplier, expanding a product line, changing packaging, or developing a new collection, we'd be happy to learn about your project.
